VERSES AND TRANSLATION

وقول الله تعالى : (يرفع الله الذين آمنوا منكم والذين أوتوا العلم درجات والله بما تعملون خبير. [المجادلة ۱۱]

Allah says: "Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who have been given knowledge to several degrees. And Allah is Knowing of what you do." (Surah al Mujadilah verse 11)

وقوله عز وجل : (وقل رب زدني علما [ طه ١١٤]

And Allah says: "And pray (O Prophet): O my Lord, increase me in knowledge." (Surah Thoha verse 114)

LESSONS FROM THE VERSES

+ Imam Bukhari rahimahullah in this book first mentions the issue of superiority. The goal is that readers are motivated to know, learn and examine more deeply the knowledge.
+ The two verses above were brought by al Imam al Bukhari rahimahullah to explain the superiority of knowledge and scholars.
In Surah al Mujadilah verse 11, it is reported that Allah will raise the rank of those who believe and those who are knowledgeable. Among the interpretations of this verse is that Allah elevates the degree of the knowledgeable believer to a higher degree than the not knowledgeable believer.
